David Blight Receives 2016 Kidger Teacher/Educator Award

David Blight will receive the 2016 Kidger Teacher/Educator Award at the New England History Teachers’ Association (NEHTA) Reception & Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, April 5th at 5:00 p.m. The award ceremony is a part of the 46th Northeast Regional Conference on the Social Studies (NERC) and is free to all conference attendees.

Sturbridge Host Hotel & Conference Center in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, on April 4-6, 2016.

The Kidger Awards are given each year to one college or university faculty member and one pre-college history teacher for excellence in teaching, research and writing, and service to the profession. The award honors Horace Kidger, a teacher in the Newton School and at Harvard who served as secretary for the NEHTA for a period spanning the two World Wars and some forty years.
